They control 210 square kilometers of Armenian territory Simonyan

The demand for peace is my demand, not Azerbaijan's. Modern.az reports that this was stated by Armenian Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan in a conversation with journalists on September 11.

He assured that the existence of a delimited and demarcated border, the return of Azerbaijani villages, and the return of one Armenian village to Armenia are his demands.

In response to criticisms regarding Azerbaijani troops not leaving Armenian territory, Simonyan noted:
"Are there no Armenian troops in Azerbaijani territory? This refers to the undelimited parts of the border. Not just enclaves, they are ahead in many places, and we are ahead in many places. They control 210 square kilometers of Armenian territory, and we, let's say, control 110 square kilometers of their territory. For example, in Tavush.”

He admitted that Azerbaijanis are ahead in significant areas. The Parliament Speaker informed that work is currently underway in Tavush, and border guards have already been deployed in many places in Syunik (Zangezur-ed.).

According to Simonyan, small countries have always been a subject of trade and a tool for major powers to spread their influence. Simonyan stated that all superpowers try to increase their influence over small countries, and these countries, in turn, try to reduce it.
“We should not rush into the embrace of one country, then another, because all foreign centers have their own interests,” he emphasized.

Alen Simonyan assured that Armenia has not done and is not doing anything against its neighbors, including Iran. He did not rule out the participation of Russia and Iran in projects for opening communication blocks and added that they could make proposals.

The Parliament Speaker called concerns about Turkish agricultural and textile products flooding the Armenian market exaggerated.
“There are Turkish goods in Armenia now,” he concluded.
